NarpsUK was founded in 2007 by the founder ‘and who was then owner’ of ‘Home from Home Dog Boarding Agency Ltd’ which is the largest dog-boarding agency of its kind in the UK as featured on the Channel 4 documentary series, ‘Personal Services’ (click link to see Youtube link). The agency, which was started by Marilyn Lewis - then housewife and mother working from home, specialises in boarding dogs in family homes and holds a register of over 300 dog boarders throughout the Greater London area. It succeeded because of its structure, systems, marketing strategies and reputation The agency was sold on 31st March 2008 for £225,000. Marilyn's business acumen and expertise in this industry gives her incredible insight into how best to support pet sitters as well as address the critical concerns of pet owners when seeking support with their pets.

The founder also sat on the committee for National Petsitters and attended meetings at government level regarding licensing issues relating to boarding dogs in family homes.
