About Sharpe's pet services

After many years of working as a nursing sister both in the Uk and abroad i setttled back in the Uk to raise my family. Having my family and being at home all day allowed me to pursue my passion for animals. It led me into charity and foster work with a few national canine charities and canine behavioural training with Sean Ellis (the wolf man). Through my foster work i  became involved with a large number of behavioural issues often as a result of environmental or mishandling issues. With time, patience and the skills i have learned from training events, i have rehabilitated many dogs. I have a love of all animals and  gradually the foster work led to adoptees asking for walking and pet sitting services. However if i am going to do something i do it properly and obtained a diploma  in dog walking and pet sitting, registered with Narps uk and my current career began.

We are based in a lovely rural location in the heart of county Durham. My family and i always strive to provide the best possible service for all the pets in our care. As well as having our own dogs, horses, rabbits, chickens, ducks and two pigs, i  have rehabilitated and rehomed over forty dogs.

Sharpes pet services can offer a range of services tailored to your individual pets needs ranging from walking/feeding to a safe haven at Sharpes retreat.  I am very experienced with working dogs especially Huskies, Spaniels, German shepherds and Border collies, as well as basic behavioral issues such as seperation anxiety and fear reactivity. Everything we do is based around a reward based programme.
