My name is Jan and I am 71 years old and retired from the NHS following 12 years of service as a Medical Secretary. I have worked as a secretary for over 40 years but eleven years ago I decided to take on a new challenge and indulge in my passion for animals and set up my own pet sitting business, i.e. The Faerie Dogmother (spelt the Celtic way)! So far, my business has proved to be very successful. You can be assured that I am totally committed and dedicated in offering excellent customer care. I offer a professional, friendly, caring and dependable service. I will visit your home for an initial free consultation to familiarise myself with you and your pet and for you to get to know and trust me. I can customise a unique plan for your pet, noting any special requirements, e.g. diet/medication and will follow your instructions to the letter to ensure their welfare and happiness. Whilst you are away, you can be confident and relaxed in the knowledge that your pet is in safe and competent hands. I will shower your pet with love and attention, pamper, play and interact with him/her. For your total peace of mind, I am CRB police checked and have excellent character references which are available for your perusal, together with all certificates and I am also fully compliant with the National Association of Registered Petsitter's Code of Practice. Caring and compassionate, nothing is ever too much trouble for Jan the Faerie Dogmother. Beset with delays and flight changes due to Covid on our trip back home to Wales, Jan took time to send us regular txts and photographs over the weeks that followed. With all the surrounding chaos we knew the girls were in good hands. Professional, friendly and a great communicator, we have found a real gem. The girls love her and can’t wait to go back and stay, but they will have to wait till our next trip away.

Having never left our dog before, I was anxious, on meeting the Fairie Dogmother the week before the stay, I felt at ease and knew instantly he would be in safe, loving hands! Amazing communication before and during the stay. Our little dog has come home sad at leaving her lol! We will 100% be using the service again, thank you for looking after our dog as if he was your own!

We have asked Jan on many occasions to look after our cat whilst we are away. Our cat is very shy and often hides away when new people enter the house, however Jan has the magic touch and manages to coax him out from under the bed and give him lots of attention. We also get texts from Jan to let us know he is okay, which is a really nice touch. We thoroughly recommend Jan as a pet sitter.

Jan did everything we could have needed for the girls, they were very content when we got back from our trip. Everything was tidy and Jan let us know everything was OK via txt while we were away. Professional and conscientious sitter, will definitely use again.

We take great pleasure in writing this review, as Jan has been wonderful while looking after our elderly dog and our two cats. We have just had a family holiday and Jan did everything we asked to make sure all our pets were happy and comfortable. She is so caring and thoughtful. Jan made sure our elderly dog kept to his routine and that the cats had lots of fussing.
Jan is also reliable and professional and made sure we were put at ease, as she would text us to let us know how they were all getting on.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Jan for pet sitting. Definitely hire the faerie, she is an absolute gem!!

We have been using Jan for several weeks now, & we cannot fault the service she provides. She does random days for us throughout the month while our working week clashes . We have a 3yr old DDB & a 16wk old DDB? Jan comes and feeds the puppy her midday meal, changes water bowls & gives them both some company for an hour and half during her visit. I would have no problem in recommending Jan to anyone who needs a helping hand with there pets. The Faerie Dogmother is what she is to ours !!! The girls get on great with her.

Janet looked after our 2 Jack Russells while we went away for a couple of days. She was absolutely wonderful. I was even sent texts keeping me up to date. I went away knowing that my dogs would be well looked after and safe, but Janet was even better than I had hoped and I arrived home to 2 very happy dogs, they love her. I will be calling on Janet again & highly recommend her to all.

We are very happy to recommend Jan to anyone who is considering using a professional dog walker and house sitter. Jan looked after our dog, and our home, for two weeks when we had to go out of the country. During that time Jan kept us up to date with regular messages to reassure us that all was well and she looked after our dog so well that he really took to her and was completely relaxed in her company. Jan is a genuine, caring person and she followed our instructions for looking after our dog to the letter. After having a bad experience with a local cattery where I ended up forking out a lot on vets bills on my return from holiday I was reluctant to put my cat, which is 18 years old, in a cattery again, I found Jan's details and decided this would be the best way to go for our week away.
Jan was absolutely fantastic and it was great to leave my cat in her hands whilst we were away.
Lucky was clearly much happier being left at home in her own surroundings and was well looked after whilst we were away.
Jan even text each night to let us know how Lucky was and this gave us complete piece of mind!

I was left in a quandry due to business comitments and needeed a sitter for two days. Having been let down by my existing sitter I contacted the faerie dogmother who kindly fitted my requirements into her busy schedule. The professionism of work was second to none.Every aspect was covered and I came home to a very well looked after dog. I recommend this service to all. Regards steve [co director]
