Hi, I am a 38 year old active female and have my own dog walking & pet sitting business called 'Tertia's Tails & Trails'.

My services include Dog Walking, Pet Sitting (at owners home), Pet Taxi and Home Visits including feeding, litter trays & playtime.

I have grown up around animals and in fact one of my best friends was a dog when I was 5! I used to play with her for hours! I volunteered at the RSPCA after I left the RAF. I also have a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Care which includes modules such as Animal Husbandry, Animals in Society and Kennel & Cattery Management.

The running club which I attend weekly is dog friendly so I do have a lot of hands-on with the dogs as I run with them and play with them afterwards. Most importantly, I have always had a huge love of animals and seem to be able to connect with them. They also seem to be drawn to me and become relaxed very quickly. I can't think of anything better than spending my time in the company of animals and, with the dogwalking,being out in the elements and keeping fit at the same time.

I don't believe in 'pavement walking' as I feel that this restricts the dog, not only as its on lead but also its senses are restricted. I like to drive to the chosen destination and then let them off, leaving them free to run, play and sniff! However, if the owner would prefer me to walk their dog on-lead, then that is absolutely fine.

Perranporth has a 3 mile long beach and huge sand dunes for your beloved fluffies to run around in!

I served in the Armed Forces from 2001 - 2008 and represented the RAF by competing in Cross Country & Athletics so I am fit enough to keep up with your dogs! :)

Your pets will also get LOADS of cuddles from me but only if it's ok with them!

I want my customers to feel that, if ever they have any worries or need a hand with their pet, they can call me. Although I have stated my main services I am not limited to those only. I also want to stress that I am very flexible and willing to lend a hand where and whenever I can.

As charity work means a lot to me, I will be donating a percentage of the price that my customers pay to a selection of charities. I keep these donations in a separate 'pot' and then, at the end of the year (March) share them out to a number of charities and announce how much was raised. This year (2016 - 2017) I would like to donate to Handstand, Perranporth Life Saving Club & Prostate Cancer. My brother-in-law and a few of our friends are running 40 miles for their 40 birthdays in August for Prostate Cancer as my Dad has battled with this the last couple of years and so, although he's doing very well, its a charity that is very close to my heart. I would also like to donate to an animal charity of some kind too. Last year I managed to donate £50 to Cancer Reasearch UK when my friends walked on fire, and also £50 to the charity Force.
