I have owned cats all my life and a few years ago, seemed to have acquired six. I wanted to go on holiday but was struggling to find a way to afford it. Really, what I wanted to do was have my cats at home so they did not have the stress of a cattery, and have someone coming in to feed them. I suddenly thought, if I am having this issue, then surely others must be too? And my pet-sitting business was born! My original business was in Reading, where I used to live, but after a move to Didcot in Oxfordshire, I stopped for a while as all my old clients were a bit too far away. But then last year, I was made redundant from my day job, after 22 years in Finance. And suddenly, I realised that I could now start pet sitting again, but this time, I could do so full-time. I joined NARPS UK with my first business and found their help very valuable, but more importantly, I like the fact they have a code of practice, meaning that clients have the comfort of knowing that professional standards in the care of your cats is very important to me. I have three gorgeous cats - an old lady called Binky, and one-year-old brothers called Ziggy and Vincent (they are both ginger so I named them after two famous red-heads!). I can't wait to meet your cats too.
