About Just Walking the Dog
We are a reliable, friendly and cost-effective dog walking and small pet care service serving"Much Hadham Herts and surrounding areas.
We want your dogs to be happy and cared for on every walk they have with us. We offer group walks, individual walks for dogs that prefer their own company and tailored services, including enclosed exercise for dogs undergoing rehabilitation or who are not suitable to be taken out.
In addition, we provide a variety of small pet care services including house sitting, pet feeding at home, puppy visits and pet taxi for vet or groomer visits. Our team is DBS checked and we have completed canine first aid courses.
We are full members of NARPS (National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers) and have full dog walking and pet taxi insurance. We conduct a full briefing with each and every dog (and owner!) prior to any walks being undertaken to ensure we fully understand your needs and the specific behaviours and requirements of each dog. On the 7th May 2018, I had a fall and broke my ankle. Our family had recently bought a beautiful brown cockapoo puppy called George . I found myself in a hopeless situation, where being the only person at home during the day I was and currently still am unable to care for him properly. He had just received his final jabs and was eager to explore the world, but being on crutches made that impossible for me to do. My neighbour recommended , Just Walking The Dog, and the rest is history. Wow, wow and another wow. They have come to the rescue and I can’t recommend them enough. They charge £12.50 an hour, which works out to be excellent value for money as George is always gone for much longer, by the time they collect and take home all the other dogs. Forget puppy training, they will learn everything they need to know from Carley and Louise, who run the business. George is now completely relaxed going in the car and loves other dogs, due to all the socialising he does. They take them on interesting adventures , a variety of fun places and George just loves it. In fact he is going for a sleepover tonight. When they come to pick him up , he charges up to them and practically drags them out the door. It’s fair to say that he LOVES his walks out. This is more than just going for a walk, this is exposing all the dogs to lots of sights, smells, socialising and dare I say it, happy doggie hormones. Carly and Louise are smart, kind and absolutely professional in their field. I can’t recommend them enough.

Justwalkingthedog have just finished 10 days house sitting my two dogs. What a fantastic job they all did. Firstly the dogs clearly loved their daily walks so much in fact they will now be walked once a week by them, secondly my house was just as I left it, I had no house work to do what so ever. The dogs can't wait to see them again. Highly recommended.

Louise and Carley are so amazing! We've had to move house this week and stop using them as we're now too far away and we are gutted. Ruby was naughty and bored (and a bit fat!) before JWTD started walking her. Now she's fit, well behaved and loves a pack walk - which for a shar pei can sometimes be an issue but not here! We're struggling to find anyone near us now that offers the same level of service that they do! Ruby and us will miss you ladies!! Thanks for all your help and love

I used these lovely ladies to feed our cat while away visiting family for a few days and they were BRILL. Sent pictures and texts to reassure me she was ok and I know she was given lots of cuddles. They also left the house immaculate and changed litter as required as well. Well worth the money! Would highly recommend.

Lovely service..... just walking the dog really care. Came in midday and gave molly a little walk, fed her and played with her. Also cleared up wee on kitchen floor! Above and beyond service wise. Then sent me a text to let me know what she had done and that molly was fine. Would 100% recommend.
