About Little Stars

My name is Mary and I run Little Stars (named after my very own little Star - my 10 year Border Collie x). I offer walks, daycare and overnight stays from my home in the village of Needingworth in Cambridgeshire. I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by glorious countryside from the doorstep so all my guests can enjoy walks in the woods, by the river (including safe swimming spots) and through the fields. I moved from London 2 years ago where I ran the same business very successfully for nearly 8 years. Many of my London clients continue to spend their holidays with me and love the wide open spaces on offer! 

Whilst your dogs are with me, my home becomes their home and they have free run of the house and small courtyard garden. Most guests choose to sleep upstairs with myself and Star but they are also welcome to pick a sleeping spot anywhere in the house, as long as they're comfortable and happy! 

I am licensed by Huntingdonshire DC, fully insured, DBS checked and 1st aid trained. I have also completed the Level 3 Ofqual course in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare. I have cared for many different breeds over the years and I'm always happy to welcome new breeds into my home. The introduction process includes an initial meet and greet with new clients and their dogs, followed by a trial run lasting 2-3 hours. If the trial run is successful (they usually are!), daycare guests are welcomed, starting with half days where necessary to ensure the dogs are happy.  For boarding dogs, we can then arrange a trial overnight stay before their full stay.
