About Pups and Paws Dog Walking
At Pups and Paws we know just how important your dog is to you, and they are important to us too! We provide a weekday lunchtime group walking service that aims to be the highlight of your dog's day. Every dog deserves a daily walk and the chance to play and socialise with a few furry friends. Your dog will be collected in our fully kitted out doggy car, in which they can travel with plenty of light and air. They will then be transported to one of the many wonderful destinations that we are lucky enough to have nearby. They will be returned happy, tired, and fully content for the rest of the day. We will even make sure that we clean up any muddy paws before arriving back home.
Pups and Paws can also pop in to visit, let out and feed puppies who are too young to go out on walks, or older dogs who still love attention but maybe don't have the energy for a full walk.
Small furries deserve some love too. We can call in to your home to feed, clean out and give some attention to rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, hamsters etc to make sure they don't miss out!
At Pups and Paws, we are:
- National Association of Registered Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers (NARPS) UK registered
- Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Business course (LANTRA) accredited
- Fully insured with Pet Business Insurance
- Criminal record (CRB) checked
- Registered as a professional dog walker with Edinburgh City Council. We follow their code of conduct and have permission to exercise dogs in their green spaces and park

Before Pups and Paws and your dog can start to have some fun together, we must complete a registration process so that we know all about your beloved pet and how to best look after them. Call or email to organise a free consultation, where we can arrange a convenient time to meet you and your pet, and discuss your needs. From this we can obtain your basic pet information, emergency contact details, and answer any questions you may have. If you're happy with us, and confident with the service, we can go ahead and make a booking.
Contact us, if you need a one off, ad hoc or regular booking. Once you are registered on the system, you can book in as many times as you like.
Group Dog Walking - £14 per hour for one dog, £11 for second dog from the same home
Let Outs for puppies/older dogs - £12 for 30 mins, £20 for 2x30 mins daily, £28 for 3x30 mins daily. Half price for second pet from same home.
Small Furries - £12 per 30 mins, £6 for additional pets from the same household
Payment
Payment can be made by bank transfer.
We ask for payment weekly in advance from our regular clients. Payment will be required in full for all bookings made less than 14 days before service begins.
Cancellations will be charged at full rate unless more than 48 hours notice is given.

Group Dog Walking - Being pack animals, dogs enjoy the social dynamics of being walked in a group, stimulating both mind and body. A daily walk promotes good digestion, helps control weight, and reduces hyperactivity and destructive behaviour. We aim to be the highlight in your dog's day offering fun filled group walks. Once collected in our fully kitted doggy car we will transport your dog for an hour of sniffing, running and snuffling, before returning them home, tired but happy. Muddy paws and coats will be cleaned before your dog sets foot in your home. Once home we will ensure a supply of fresh water is available, and feed any meals required. We'll send you a feedback form so that you know what your dog's been up to that day. We are happy to exercise on lead, or off lead once good recall is established. We'll need a signed permission form for off lead exercise, just to make sure that you know how you dog is being walked. We will take a maximum of four dogs on a walk together so that we can give your dog the love and attention it deserves.
Let Outs - This service is aimed at young puppies who are not ready for full dog walks yet, or for older dogs who still love the attention but maybe haven't the energy for a full walk. We are available for visits, where we can feed them, clean up any messes and still make sure there is time for play. Maybe your puppy is struggling to settle in, during the first couple of weeks - we can pop in during the day to reassusure your puppy that everything is really ok!
Small Furries - Pups and Paws offers small pet visits to feed, water and clean out, if required, any variety of small pet. If you are away for the day, overnight or for longer, we can pop in to care for your rabbit, guinea pig, hamster etc. Your pet can have a stress free time while you are away, and you will have the reassurance that someone is visting the house and looking after your small furries.
We are able to hold keys to your property in a coded and locked system. Keys can be collected at the time of booking and held by us for future use, if you would find that helpful.
