About Sam Pet Companion
Sam is married and in her 50s with no dependents. She is reliable, flexible, friendly and above all trustworthy. Established 7 years.
She provides a first class service as your 'Pet's Companion'.
A clear Disclosure and Barring Service certificate (previously CRB)
A current Canine First Aid Certificate.
She holds Pet Business insurance.
Her priority is to ensure that your pet is given the attention and care he/she deserves and that you are pleased with the service provided.
She doesn't provide pack walks for numerous dogs together. She prefers to give her clients the 1 on 1 attention they deserve.
Sam has had numerous pets during her life and has previously volunteered for the RSPCA, Cat Protection and The Cinnamon Trust (A charity which provides a dog walking/pet feeding service for the elderly and terminally ill).

Pet Visits:
If you're on holiday, busy at work or want a whole day out shopping/visiting friends..... then visits from Sam Pet Companion can support you with this. An alternative to using a cattery/kennels - allowing your pet to feel secure in it's own home.
A typical visit usually lasts from between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of pets and your requirements. A second visit on the same day is offered at a reduced price.
These may include:
- Providing fresh food and water
- Garden exercise
- Toilet breaks
- Playtime
- Cuddles and grooming
- Litter tray cleaning
- Pet Taxi
- Closing curtains, lights on/off, collecting post, water plants, daily journal completed, key collection/drop-off
- I will even take photos of your pets and send them to your phone so you can stay in contact with your pets when you are away
Dog Walks:
Prices are based on dogs being walked alone. £8.00 for 30 minutes and £3.50 for each extra dog walked together in same household. A second walk on the same day is discounted.
Pet Taxi:
I can transport your pet to your vet or groomer and return them to you.
I charge £10 per hour plus 45p per mile.
You will be required to make payment directly to your vet or groomer.
Prices are subject to change but the rate set at the time of booking will be fixed.
Cancellation of bookings within a 48 hour period will be charged at 100% and if cancellation occurs between 48 hours and 14 days of scheduled commencement of booking, a charge of 50% of fees will apply.
Weekend prices will include a £5.00 fee.
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day will incur an extra £10 fee and all other bank holidays incur an extra £5 fee.
I will travel up to 20 minutes by car from Stanway, including:
Aldham, Chappel, Eight Ash Green, Fordham, Wakes Colne, White Colne.
I have a support lady who can cover Halstead, Little Maplestead, Wickham St Paul, Castle & Sible Hedingham.
I offer my first 5 miles of travel FREE OF CHARGE from my home, thereafter
it is 45p per mile.
Dog Walking
Pet Visits - Puppy and kitten playtime / feeding visits. Puppy walks reinforcing all techniques you learn from any training classes you attend with your puppy. Second visit, same day, at a reduced rate.
