About Lucky Paws Pet Care

My name is Dawn and my business was born from my love of animals, both large and small.
I live in, and work from Wallsend and have had animals all my life, from dogs, cats and birds to the present day where I have 2 reptiles. A Bearded Dragon called Oscar and an Orange Spotted Agama called Dexter and an array of fish!

I worked in telecommunications for 12 years but decided I wanted to do a job I love, and that was working with animals.

When I do something I always want it to be of the best possible standard, therefore, before going ‘live’ I became a member of NARPS-UK (National Associates of Registered Pet Sitters) and undertook their comprehensive business course which was a great insight into pet care and was a huge success. I wanted to go a step further so decided to enrol on a Professional Dog Walkers Certificated course with the British College of Canine Studies and also complete a practical pet first aid course to ensure I had the knowledge needed to look after your pets.

For extra peace of mind, and to know you are in safe hands, I also have a DBS Disclosure certificate and hold full insurance cover for Public Liability, Pet Transport, Key Cover and Non-Negligent cover.
