My name is Lynn and I live in Waltham near Grimsby. My family and I have lived here for over 26 years. My daughter Ellen is at University studying Animal Management and Behavior. My husband is a Primary School Teacher.
I have had dogs all my life and currently have two dogs of my own. A Working Cocker Spaniel (who does work and I helped to train) and a Doberman pup. I never would have thought that I would have a Doberman. However he was being neglected, so I insisted he came to us so that we could find him a good home. He found one with us and stayed. He is an affectionate, gentle giant who just wants cuddles.
The Doberman pup is one of the reasons that Waltham Rambles came to be. He has separation anxiety, partly due to his previous treatment. I could not find good quality local care for my dogs, once my daughter left for university, to help around my part-time job. so decided to look after him full time and offer a dog walking service in the area.
The aim of Waltham Rambles, is to give you peace of mind knowing that your best friend is being well looked after when you can't be there.
We can collect your dog from your home and walk them with as much care and attention as you would yourself. We can offer individual walks if this is better for your dog. Our group walks only consist of four dogs at a time maximum. Very often less. Although our insurance covers us to walk 6 dogs, at Waltham Rambles we feel this is too many at once.We then bring them back home and settle them into their normal routine.
Whilst on walks your dogs behaviour will be kept consistent to your training. We will use the same verbal commands and hand signals etc. Not only is your dog walked, he is consistently handled too. This we find cannot be done effectively with a large group of dogs, hence the smaller group sizes so that we can give your dog quality time.
Whilst our main aim is to provide a quality dog walking experience for your pet, we can offer help with vet visits and short-term dog sitting. We can also offer a pop in service if required.
Please contact us to discuss your best friends needs.
We offer free meet and greet visits to get to know you and your pet to make sure that he will be happy with us.
Our motto is "being there for your best friend when you can't be"
A testimonial from one of our clients:-
"From the moment we met Lynn we could see we had met someone who understood dogs the same way we do. We have a nine month old huskydor female who with her age and breed wants to get attention. Lynn ignored the fuss and soon had our girl sitting and dealt with the situation the way we would.
This means that Lynn exercises our the dog the same way we do, and there is consistency in her training. So not only do we get the dog walked - we also get her trained!!
Lynn provides a report after each walk so you know just how your dog has behaved (or not!)
We have used a couple of dog walkers before and have not seen such attention to detail or knowledge of dogs."
