About me

Firstly let me introduce myself.  I'm Linda,  previously I worked  as a Senior Financial Management Analyst for the NHS.  However I decided to follow my heart and do what I really love which is being around animals and that's when Priority Pets was born!  I'm now a professional pet sitter and dog walker. I am registered with NarpsUK, DBS checked and also fully insured to care for your pets and home. 

I have owned pets myself including dogs, cats, rabbits and tortoises some from rescue centres and all with different personalities! 

 I understand the importance of being reliable, professional and responsible - after all they're not just pets they're part of the family! 

My Services

Pet & House Sitting

It's been proven pets are happier and more settled in their own home and familiar surroundings, keeping to their usual routine. Priority Pets offers an ideal and cost effective way to ensure their welfare  as well as your home security.  You can return to contented pets and a clean home, fully relaxed after your time away.

I arrange a free pre-visit and complete a form which is very thorough covering everything I'd like to know about your pets to provide perfect care eg food, treats, wake & bedtime, medication , walk info, likes and dislikes and so much more.

The beauty of house sitting for me is I can fuss, walk, stroke, play, cuddle, brush and chill out with my new furry friends it's truly a win/win experience!

Currently I provide my services in Formby and the surrounding areas but have been further afield too. I have been to Rossendale, Prestatyn, Clitheroe and Surrey to date.

Walking

Walking is tailored to your dog's preferred routine.  I am happy to provide walks long or short, to the beach, woodland area, or on a lead along paths or to a park whichever is required.

All walks are one to one as I like to focus on your dog and ensure an exciting, safe  experience and some decent exercise based on your dog's capabilities.

Visits

I can do visits for feeding, giving medication, topping up water, sorting litter trays and any other service that may be  required,  ideal for cats or rabbits and perhaps if you have a long day out for dogs too. Truly bespoke to your pets needs.

I regret I don't currently offer home boarding.

Summary

With Priority Pets you can be assured  I will do everything possible to make things run smoothly whilst caring for your pets and home. I'll happily send updates and photos if requested.  You can enjoy your time away and leave the rest to me!

Linda has been totally amazing with our Dog. As like most pet owners he is my world and I don’t trust him with anyone who doesn’t treat him as good as me 😂 but with Linda she surpasses me.
He absolutely loves her, and is often seen crying after her when she leaves. Linda takes the time to learn about the dog she is walking/sitting and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her services and opening our home for her to sit. On a recent trip away, the house was left immaculate on our return with one very happy and relaxed dog.

2 Night Cat sit October 2023

I was surprised with a holiday (for my big birthday) but our usual cat sitter was away for the first couple of days. At the same time Linda posted on a local group and happened to have a cancellation. We chatted on WhatsApp video, she showed me her insurance & CRB checks and I introduced her to Tiah. When she arrived I immediately felt confident about leaving my home and pet in her capable hands. Linda sent us lots of photos and videos to reassure us. I'm not sure who had the best time - us or the cat! 😁The whole experience was worry free. Thank you Linda!

They say a dogs intuition is right and Florence loved Linda from the start! (and she’s usually shy and very reserved). If it’s a walk or a pet sit Linda is always great with Flo and will deal with every situation thrown at her. This puts us at ease when on our travels or busy at work. Linda cared for my pet family during a recent weekend away. We have a dog, a gecko and goldfish. All were well cared for and I know Pippin had fun. Linda went the extra mile and more by watering all my pots (I have loads!) and feeding the birds as well.Finally, we came home to the house just as we left it, we hope to be seeing Linda again soon.

Linda looked after our two dogs Alfie 5yr very nervous and anxious cockapoo and Teddy 1yr westiepoo who isn't fazed by anything. they both loved her.
Linda stayed in our home whilst we went on our holiday. No doubts over her being trustworthy. we had regular updates and photos sent to us.

Linda has been doing Pop-ins for our cocker spaniel Cora. Cora has taken to her really well and gets lots of attention and playtime. Linda is able to meet the flexible requirements we need due to work to make sure Cora is well looked after. Would definitely recommend.

We've recently returned from a week away during which time, Linda stayed at our house to look after our Sprocker puppy, Piper.

Prior to us going away, Linda came to meet Piper and walked her on a couple of occasions. This really helped with the transition when we left to go away as we knew Piper liked her and trusted her.
Whilst away, Linda kept us up to date with her and Piper's activities which was so lovely. We knew our puppy was being very well looked after and was extremely settled and happy - we began to wonder whether she might not actually want us to come home!!

We returned to a very clean and tidy house and fresh milk so we could have a cup of tea!

We would highly recommend, Linda and will definitely be asking her to care for Piper again.

Linda did a house sit with my two cats this week. While many cats are independent and would be happy with drop-ins, my two are a bit more complex. One of them is a rescue cat who was feral as a kitten - he’s terrified of new people but Linda visited a couple of times beforehand to help him get used to her. I was amazed at how quickly he trusted her! I’d said to Linda ‘he will likely be hiding the whole time’, but it was amazing to see pictures and videos of him so chilled and playful!
I came home to a tidy house, my plants watered, the decking scrubbed, and two very content and confident kitties.
Linda clearly takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond for her customers. I highly recommend her and I won’t hesitate to book her again in the future. Thanks Linda!

I highly recommend Linda. she looked after my one year old cockapoo Finn for two nights. She sent regular updates which were very reassuring. Finn had a great time, he got to go out with Linda (she checked first) and had a brilliant time. The house was looked after and clan and tidy when we got back
A bit nerve racking leaving a puppy but Linda did a fabulous job, he's very tired and happy! xx
